                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 4402
                   OAKWOOD DRIVE, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF
                   OAKWOOD DRIVE SOUTHEAST OF HIGHWAY 58 FROM R-3
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   DISTRICT, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 4402 Oakwood Drive,
                being on the southwest line of Oakwood Drive
                southeast of Highway 58.  Part of lot 5, block 1,
                Carr Farm, as shown by plat of record in plat book
                1, page 6, R.O.H.C., said part of lot being tract 1
                (with exception) as described in deed book 3134,
                page 127, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 129B-E-2.
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial 
District.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Erection of a six-foot sight-obscuring fence
                   along the south line of the property.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
